Message from Paul

Hopefully you remembered to put the hour forward at some point during the night. This will prevent you from being an hour late this morning. Next Sunday is Palm Sunday, followed of course by Easter week, and we’re out with the cross again. (See this morning’s handout, if you want the precise details). This is the tenth year that some of us have walked with it, and it conveys it’s own message at this wonderful season of resurrection. Please remember those who go out in your prayers, because we’re speaking the word of God over an entire community, and that cannot be done without provoking the powers of darkness over our area. I no longer see this as an evangelistic exercise, but rather as a prophetic one, as we speak out those words which cannot return without accomplishing the purpose for which they have been released. Let’s also avail ourselves of the covering of Jesus’ Blood over our families and loved ones, because the enemy is put to confusion when we do this. Our evangelism comes the following week, when we go out on the doors again (15th April at 4pm), so we can ask the Father that Hell be plundered and Heaven populated as we move into the lightness of the Spring and Summertime in our village of Whyteleafe!

‘Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession’ (Psalm 2:8). You will be quick to remind me that this is a Messianic psalm, and refers to Jesus, not to us, but He did tell us to occupy, until He comes (Luke 19:13), so now is the time for a bit more occupation! Why not?

Friends and Heroes

A new series on CBBC weekdays 12:30-1pm (Virgin TV 701). It is an action-and adventure animation story which introduces stories from the old and new Testaments to ages 6–10. Please pass the word around so that we can make the most of this unique opportunity to see a positive representation of Bible stories on National Television.

If broadcast is successful, the BBC might be prepared to run the show on more popular Terrestrial TV Channels and might also consider showing Series Two and Three when they are completed in 2008 and 2009. Find out more at www.friendsandheroes.com

Photo session information from Joan H-D will be:

Sunday 1 April as I am on the coffee rota today. Snow stopped play last week so I only took 13 photos.

Micah Challenge - Blow the Whistle campaign

The Evangelical Alliance has launched this campaign to mark the halfway point to 2015, the year by which the international community determined to half extreme poverty through the Millennium Development Goals. We can take part by completing the postcards you will find on the back table and posting them to the Prime Minister. This will remind him that he and and other world leaders made a commitment in 2000, to halve global poverty by 2015 and to let him know that as Christians we care about keeping our promises to the poor, the widow and the orphan.

Please take a card, add your signature, address and a stamp and post it off as soon as possible. Find out more by going to the website, www.micahchallenge.org.uk

Kakamega information from Joan Hadlow

Firstly, I and two others off to Kakamega on Saturday 31st….that is next Saturday….and returning on Sunday 22nd April and am only just thinking about how to get to the airport. If anyone would like the pleasure of either trip on the M25. Either Saturday 31st to arrive terminal 4 for 5pm or Sunday 22nd April pick up from terminal 4 at 7.15-7.30am. We would be very appreciative.

And secondly, as usual I will take as many vitamins as I can, so if you would like me to take some for you let me know. Have a Happy Easter, Joan
