Message from Paul

This week we move on in the Book of Leviticus from that wonderful meeting with God which took place after Aaron had blessed the people to a surprising reversal which happened immediately afterwards. It often seemed to be the case in the history of the nation of Israel that, just as God had moved in to bless her, something happens to jeopardise that very blessing. I wonder if this can sometimes be true in our own experience. The blessing causes us to be a little casual, and the Lord has to pinch us a little to get our attention again. Jesus told us to be vigilant, especially in these days when evil is increasing, so there’s a lesson today in what happened to those sons of Aaron. (See Leviticus 10 if you miss this morning’s message!)

Betty flower festival news (from Jenny)

It’s that time of year! Warlingham have just had their flower festival, and …

YES!!! AGAIN!!!

Our very own Betty Tranah swept away with more prizes:

three ‘firsts’, two ‘seconds’ and three ‘thirds’.

Anyone seeing Betty’s garden will know the loving care and delight she takes in seeing her ‘garden grow’. It certainly is a place of ‘all things bright and beautiful’, and Betty would be the first to continue that hymn with ‘our Lord God made them all’.

Well done Betty!!

Betty and the Fellowship will be the first to celebrate the harvest season this coming Thursday. Most appropriate!
