Message from Paul

Moving on in our reading from Hebrews, we’re now in the throne room of God, and we’re going to need His mercy if we’re to withstand the white heat of His presence. Fortunately, we only arrived there on the merits of our great High Priest, so we’re accepted! The reason that we’re accepted is because this High Priest offers Himself before the living God, having shed his own blood in full satisfaction for the sin of the whole world. Thus we learn much in chapters 9&10 of this letter about the totality of the salvation that comes to us through Jesus:

Full atonement – can it be?

Hallelujah! what a Saviour!

Service for Jack Hywel-Davies

On Monday at 12noon in the church is a service in memory of Jack Hywel-Davies. Joan says that all are welcome.

Note: because of the large numbers expected please try to park elsewhere or walk to the church, thank you.

Paul’s notes on Christmas dates

In amongst all this, Christmas is upon us! Let me give you some diary dates:

Carolling around the village (replacing Praise and Prayer).

17th Dec 7:30pm

Please, please do your best to join us on one or both of these evenings. We want to put some Christmas goodwill into the heart of our community, and take some praise onto the streets. We need both singers (7 or 8 ) and a few who will post our lovely Christmas cards through doors (2 or 3). We need you!

23rd Dec 4:30pm

Our annual Candle-lit carol service. My them this year is ‘Candle in the dark’. I’ve put some of our evangelistic cards out this morning for your use. Invite some people!
